ABI is a full service Business Intermediary firm.  From the initial meeting all the way to the closing table, we walk you through the complex process of selling your business.  Selling a business is a full-time job.  ABI takes this burden off your shoulders so you can continue running your company efficiently. 

Our sales process includes 4 basic steps.

1. Decision to Sell

During the first meeting, ABI will provide you with a wealth of information about the process.  We offer valuable insight into value drivers and the marketability of your business.  This is your chance to get all your questions answered and familiarize yourself with the entire process.

2. Assessment of Value

ABI has developed valuation methods that are simple to understand, yet powerful enough to stand up to a formal third-party appraisal.  When you choose ABI to represent your business, ABI will provide a “most probable sale price range” assessment of value to ensure that expectations are agreed upon prior to moving forward.

3. Marketing / Searching for a Buyer

Preparation is paramount to maximizing after-tax proceeds.  We work with you to develop marketing materials that emphasize value drivers without disclosing sensitive information that could compromise your business.

ABI develops and maintains multiple channels of marketing to find the best Buyer.  We utilize our own database of pre-screened buyers, newspapers, various business-for-sale websites, and relationships with private equity groups.  We only bring you pre-screened buyers.

4. Negotiations, Due Diligence, & Closing

Once an offer has been tendered, negotiations begin.  We present all reasonable offers and discuss with you the pros and cons of each and every offer.  Many deals fall apart in due diligence, thus we carefully manage this process to keep it moving forward and focused.  We deal with Bulk Sale Transfer laws and Escrow processes daily.  We understand what it takes to maintain compliance and we always use a licensed escrow officer.
